Political Team

Class A Team Members:
Rachel and Elly

Class B Team Members:
Abby, Aliza and Carly

The Political Team is focused on the privilege of letting us sample water in the City of Escondido. They proposed that scientists and researchers should be allowed to sample water from the watershed to consistently keep watch that it is healthy and in the correct and healthy condition to reintroduce salmonids into the creek at a live-streamed city council meeting. They explained why it is important we sample water and how it would help, along with the opportunity and possibility of reintroducing trout into the creek. This group is very imperative to the project and the future of the Escondido Creek Watershed because it provides for our upcoming data and continuous research through many years to come. At the City Council Meeting, they presented information about our project and why they should let us sample. Sampling water at the creek is needed because we should be assured that the creek is healthy and does not contain chemicals or bacteria that is unwanted. Since the meeting is a live streamed event, we encourage you to watch their presentation and see them state their case at the button on the right.
